The weeks are a flying by! What happened this week?
Definitely not a common occurrence here in East Texas! That was crazy! I think these were some of the biggest snowflakes I’ve ever seen, much less in Texas.
Thursday was Thanksgiving.
We went to my mother-in-law’s for Thanksgiving and had a great time. All of my family pretty much already had plans with other family members (their in-laws and such). After we came home, stuffed full of good food and with a considerable amount of leftovers, we put up the Christmas Tree! I consider myself a Thanksgiving purist, and to me that means Thanksgiving needs to happen before any Christmas stuff! I think this is the first year we’ve actually put the tree up on Thanksgiving day and not the day after.
We went to a wedding.
Our good friends Shaun and Nacole got married on Saturday! It was a beautiful ceremony, performed by my hubby, and we had a great time sharing this special day with these two! I am so happy for them!
The Ugly Truth
Well… I mentioned to Billy that when our kids are grown they are expected to come to our house on Thanksgiving Day! I know that seems a little selfish probably, especially if they are married, but I have missed the big holiday get-togethers that used to happened when my great-grandmothers were alive. Holidays are for family and I completely expect to see mine on holidays!
