We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary.
I seriously can’t believe we’ve known each other for 9 years, much less been married for that long! We’ve been through our share of (very) rough times, but I can honestly say that I am so very blessed to be married to this great man. Our love has grown so strong over the past few years and have experienced so many amazing things together… I can’t wait to see what our future holds!

And check out these super sweet notes my hubby left for me to find!
He’s a keeper.
Billy was out of town again.
It is so not normal for him to be gone overnight, especially since he isn’t in Youth Ministry anymore. However, this month he has been gone twice! He left on our anniversary and returned two days later. That’s why when I said we celebrated our anniversary before, what I actually meant was that we said “happy anniversary” as he was leaving. That’s why he left the sweet notes for me to find. So, needles to say, if you have read any of my other posts, I didn’t sleep much.
The Ugly Truth
We’ve never been big on giving extravagant gifts to each other… especially after the kids came along. 😉 And you know, it really sort of irks me when I hear others talking about how mad they are when their husband doesn’t get them a present. I can understand being upset if they forget your anniversary altogether (I’ve actually done that myself), but throwing a fit about not getting what you want… on a day that is supposed to be a celebration of two lives that have beat the statistics and made it another year… it just seems unimportant in the grand scheme of things.
I don’t know… I’m probably the only woman on the earth that doesn’t expect at least flowers.
Actually I’m probably the only woman on earth that doesn’t really like my husband to buy me flowers because they are ridiculously expensive and they just die. 🙄 Buy flowers to plant, if you must.
